OVERVIEW - SALES EXECUTIVE (REACTIVE)

The Events Sales Executive reports to the Groups, Meetings and Events Manager. You will maximise revenue opportunities in the areas of conferences and events by driving sales leads and increasing conversions. The Events Sales Executive will interact frequently with guests and customers with the intention of earning repeat and expanded business.

EXPECTATIONS

The Sales Executive - Groups, Meetings & Events is expected to:

  • Always maintain a consistently professional demeanour.
  • Represent NoMad London positively in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Always adhere to company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Health & Safety policies, HR guidelines and compliance training.
  • Effectively manage workload and responsibilities with efficiency.
  • Foster clear and effective communication within the team, across departments and between both hotels and management.
  • Champion our company values fostering a positive and collaborative approach across all departments.
  • Ensures Delphi/Sales force is consistently updated with all activities and notes.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills.
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Confident telephone manner.
  • High level of IT skills.
  • Excellent grooming standards.
  • Demonstrated previous experience working in the Conference and Events function.
  • Knowledge of the hotel property management systems (Delphi, Opera). 
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The main responsibilities of the Sales Executive - Groups, Meetings & Events are summarised below, the list is not exhaustive:

  • Receive and convert incoming enquiries to achieve targets and maximize revenue.
  • Seek opportunities to increase sales and conversions within the Team.
  • Focus on a consistently executed up-selling approach.
  • Build strong relationships with customers to fully understand their needs.
  • Arrange and carry out Hotel show rounds and menu tastings.
  • Create detailed BEOs.
  • Provide a seamless customer journey from initial enquiry to planning until final handover to the Operations team.
  • Ensure the complete administration and execution of all planned events.
  • Participate in hotel promotional activities. 
  • Attend client entertainment events where required.
  • Create reports as requested by the Groups, Meetings and Events Manager to support weekly and end-of-the-month reporting.
  • Work with HWS teams to secure business from Hilton managed accounts.
  • Act as a liaison with other departments or functions (Operations, Front Office, F&B, etc.)
