Description

As a Garment Technologist assistant, you will support the Garment Technologist in ensuring the quality and fit of samples and production garments across the Saltrock product portfolio, including  Men’s, Women's, and Children's both knitted and woven product, as well as a full range of Accessories.

You will work closely with the Buying and Design teams ensuring delivery is in line with the Critical Path and the highest standards are maintained.

Main Duties / Responsibilities

Fit sessions

  • Measuring garments
  • Write up comments during fit meetings, create comment sheets, send comments to suppliers
  • Manage garment rail and prioritise with the Critical Path
  • Manage Shipment Samples – approving rejecting and investigating where necessary (on third party platform)
  • Clear and timely management of and response to emails
  • Maintain close Supplier relationships

Testing

  • Approve/reject test reports 
  • Chase test reports
  • Approve/reject wash care labels

Other

  • Work closely with Channel teams to assess any Quality Control queries
  • Ad hoc project work to improve Garment Technology department standards and process, as guided by Garment Technologist

What you will bring

  • A Passion for Fashion
  • Keen to grow and develop a career path within Garment Technology. Previous experience in Garment Construction and/or Pattern Cutting would be advantageous
  • Eye for detail
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Computer literate, especially in MSOffice (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Entrepreneurial approach to working
  • Great people and communication skills
