Description

A Kitchen Porter is responsible for assisting other kitchen staff like Cooks, Chefs, Supervisors or Managers. Their primary duties include cleaning the kitchen, sorting all supplies, equipment and organising food and other items in the stockroom.

Reports to: Chef De Partie / Junior & Senior Sous Chef / Head Chef

Main Job Tasks

·       Collecting and washing pots, pans, plates, and cutlery

·       General cleaning of the kitchens and areas of restaurants if required.

·       Keep work surfaces, walls, and floors clean and sanitised.

·       Help Chefs to prepare food if required.

·       Ensure that all COSHH, Food Safety and Health Safety requirements are adhered to.

·       Delivery through all these tasks of exceptional kitchen hygiene standards.

·       To always maintain a high standard of dress and behaviour.

·       Maintaining a good relationship with kitchens, front of house and management staff.

·       Communicate with your duty manager in case of any problems or issues with staff, equipment daily.

·       Be on time for your shift and in proper dress code.
