Description

“It all began in my kitchen” – Sarabeth

Sarabeth’s began as a tiny bakery-kitchen in 1981 where Sarabeth Levine sold her preserves and baked goods. Quickly gaining popularity, the store began to serve breakfast and lunch, along with the original preserves and baked goods that landed Sarabeth’s on the map.

Today, Sarabeth’s has four locations in Manhattan and several others around the world. Renowned for our popular brunch, we have also become well admired for our take on contemporary American cuisine at dinner, lively happy hours, and private events.  We take great pride in creating a memorable experience for each guest with genuine hospitality and exceptional cuisine.

We are currently seeking a Lead Host to join our Flatiron/NoMad team. Even if you are entry-level, we are willing to train the right person who is eager to learn and grow into this leadership role. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to develop their career in restaurant operations.

  • Monitoring table availability and pacing reservations to maintain efficient service.

  • Communicating important guest information to managers and service staff (VIPs, special occasions, requests).

  • Answering phones, assisting guests with reservations, and responding to inquiries.

  • Training and supporting hosts to ensure consistent hospitality standards.

  • Assisting guests with coats, bags, strollers, or other needs when possible.

  • Maintaining an organized and professional host stand and entrance area.

  • Managing wait times and communicating accurate expectations to guests.

  • Handling guest concerns with professionalism and notifying management when needed.

  • Assisting with opening and closing procedures when required.

  • Commitment to maintaining availability that aligns with the needs of the business
  • Experience with reservation systems such as :OpenTable , SevenRooms and Toast
