Hiring Busser / Runner – Sarabeth’s Park Avenue South (NYC)

The Opportunity:
Sarabeth’s is seeking energetic and reliable Busser/Service Assistants and Runners to support our Front of House team. In these roles, you’ll assist servers, ensure tables are clean and reset, run food and drinks promptly, and help create an outstanding dining experience for every guest. Positivity, teamwork, and excellent guest service are essential.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Assist servers with water service, bread, coffee, and guest needs

• Clear, clean, and reset tables quickly and efficiently

• Run food and drinks to tables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Call and expedite tickets, read and match food orders, garnish dishes

• Serve and introduce food at the table, following steps of service

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining room and expo station

• Uphold all health and safety regulations

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service

• Offer assistance and accommodate guest requests whenever possible

• Provide friendly farewells to guests as they leave

• Immediately notify management of any guest concerns or complaints

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience as a busser, runner, or similar role in a well-rated restaurant

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment

• Strong knowledge of hygiene and safety standards

• Physical ability to carry up to 50 pounds, run multiple plates simultaneously, and be on your feet throughout your shift

• Commitment to flexible availability aligning with business needs
