THE SEVILLE – SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

Description:

The Seville is a live music lounge in Nomad, NYC, owned by LDV Hospitality, and located underneath its sister restaurant, Scarpetta in The James Hotel New York NoMad. The role of this internship will be to capture and maintain ongoing content for this property, photographing moments one night each week that highlight what make The Seville one of NYC’s best live music destinations.

Responsibilities:

• Capture digital images (and potentially video) at The Seville on a weekly basis that showcase live music, cocktails, food offerings, lifestyle moments and atmosphere. 
• Deliver resulting content for LDV review within 48 hours of each shoot.
• Follow precise shot list direction, in addition to identifying other unique content opportunities independently.
• Develop and maintain a content plan for The Seville Instagram channel, inclusive of grid planning, post copy, and templated story series (content plan to be updated and reviewed on a weekly basis).
• Will report directly to the Director of Marketing at LDV Hospitality.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in (or returning to) an accredited photography school or program.
• Based in NYC with ability to be on-site at The Seville at least one evening per week.
• Must provide own camera and affiliated equipment, including necessary lighting for dark / nighttime content capture.
• Familiar and comfortable with photographing lifestyle, live-action and food content.
• Proficient with photo editing software (Adobe preferred).
• Video experience preferred, but not required.
• A strong understanding of Instagram and content planning tools (specifically, Later).
• Should enjoy and be comfortable with shooting in a very energetic, loud, and lively atmosphere.

Schedule:

• This internship commitment is one evening per week (2 hours of shooting), plus 4 hours for editing and content planning, for a total of up to 6 hours per week.
• Must be available at least one night a week (rotating days of the week between Tue-Sat), to shoot for 2 hours between 7:00pm – 12:00am.
• Remaining hours will be allotted to photography / video editing and content planning (this may be done remotely).
