Description
We are looking for an experienced and committed Back of House Manager to join the exceptional team at Scott’s, part of Caprice Holdings.

Scott’s is an award winning seafood restaurant serving the very finest traditional fish and seafood dishes as well as seasonal game and meat dishes. The restaurant has an elegant oyster and Champagne bar in the centre which creates a sophisticated dining environment matched with engaging service from our attentive and informed restaurant staff.

As BOH Manager you will support the restaurant management team – GM, AGM, RM, Duty Managers and Head Chef with all back of house admin duties.

Some of the key tasks for the BOH manager will be:
• Update the HR & Rota and Payroll system ensuring effective processing of new starter information, holidays, absences, rotas, training etc
• Arrange work trials and interviews as requested by Head Chef and Managers effectively using the recruitment portal and liaising with the HR as required.
• Process finance administration accurately and effectively to include daily sales reports, cashing up, reconciliation sheets and petty cash
• Support the Restaurant Management Team and Head Chef to ensure health & safety and food safety documentation is kept up to date, filed and updated on the H&S and F&S Portal
• Support the Managers to ensure effective follow up and reporting of AFPs and accident reporting
• Support in the updating of the menu descriptions and TISSL in a timely manner
• Update all food/wine and drinks menus as instructed by the head chef and bar manager
• Assist with completion of wine and food inventory and assist with the timely processing of food and beverage invoices
• Act as note taker at restaurant meetings as requested by the GM, AGM or Head Chef
• Complete all office administration as appropriate as requested by the GM, AGM and Head Chef

The successful candidate will:
• Have previous experience of working within the hospitality/restaurant sector, ideally with knowledge of working in front of house.
• Be a confident communicator with excellent written skills and telephone manner.
• Be a highly effective team player who is well-presented and enthusiastic.
• Be highly organised, have the ability to work to tight timelines and ensure accuracy in all aspects of the role
• Have strong IT skills (Word, Excel and Publisher) and previous working knowledge of ‘Fourth’ HR system (or similar) and FnB Shop would be an advantage.
