Role: Chef de Partie – The Ozone
Location: Seaham Hall, County Durham
Resort information: https://www.seaham-hall.co.uk/
Salary: up to £30,000 per annum (depending on experience & to be discussed at interview)
Hours: 40+ hours (full time over 4 days), including weekends & bank holidays plus a share of service charge, approx. 2k annually
Relationships: General Manager, Head Chef, Food & Beverage team, Kitchen team

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join our team in The Ozone at Seaham Hall.

As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of food in your designated section of the kitchen, ensuring that all locally sourced ingredients and dishes are prepared to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes in your designated section of the kitchen
  • Ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards
  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
  • Assisting with stock control and ordering
  • Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment​

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or a Demi Chef de Partie
  • Passionate about cooking
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in professional cookery (desirable)
  • Provide own knives
