Pool Host
Location: Seaham Hall, County Durham
Salary: £12.21 per hour plus share of service charge (approx. £2k per annum for employees working 40 hours a week)  
Hours: 0-20 hours per week (full-time), including weekends and bank holidays
(part-time available), shift pattern will include a variety of shifts between 6.30am and 10.30pm including weekends & bank holidays.
Relationships:  Reports to Spa Management

Overview of job:

  • To keep pool areas tidy
  • To be courteous and pleasant with guests at all times
  • Ensure that the guest and member’s experience is comfortable and enjoyable during each visit
  • Maintain standard operating spa procedures
  • To operate the pool drinks service


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure maximum cleanliness around facilities
  • See to guest queries and demands in a professional manner
  • To familiarise yourself with current members
  • To ensure towel & robe removal from poolside in line with guest flow (to include robe pocket check)
  • Ensure that magazines & online library are available for guest leisure
  • To be able to handle guest feedback in the most professional manor and report to MOD when required
  • Report any maintenance issues to reception where necessary
  • Ensure smooth operations within the spa by being proactive and working alongside fellow members of the Seaham Hall team
  • Follow and respect all company policies and procedures
  • Abide with all health and safety policies

  • Minimum one year of experience in a customer-facing role (hospitality experience a bonus).
  • A genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and professional presentation.
  • team player with initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • Reliable transport, given early starts and late finishes.
  • Good health and well being
