Pool Host

Location: Serenity Spa at Seaham Hall, County Durham
Salary: To be discussed at interview  + share of service charge (approx. £2,000 per year for full-time team members)
Hours: Up to 16 hours per week (0-hour contract) across shifts between 6am–10:30pm, including weekends and bank holidays
Reporting to: Spa Supervisor, Treatment Manager, Assistant Spa Manager & Spa Director

Seaham Hall is looking for a dedicated and attentive Pool Host to join the award-winning Serenity Spa team.

This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining the highest standards across our spa and poolside areas while ensuring every guest enjoys a calm, clean, and welcoming environment.


The Role

As Pool Host, you will play a vital role in the guest experience by maintaining immaculate spa facilities, supporting guest comfort, and ensuring the environment reflects the luxury and tranquillity of Serenity Spa.


The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in hospitality or a customer-facing role is desirable
  • A strong eye for detail and high standards of cleanliness
  • Friendly, approachable, and guest-focused
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Professional presentation in line with a luxury environment
  • Flexible, reliable, and a supportive team player

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation across all spa and poolside areas
  • Monitor guest flow and ensure a calm, organised environment

  • Replenish towels, robes, and amenities (including robe checks) in line with hygiene standards
  • Ensure relaxation areas and guest touchpoints are clean, tidy, and fully stocked
  • Assist guests with queries and provide a warm, professional presence
  • Identify and report maintenance issues promptly
  • Support smooth daily operations across the spa
  • Prepare facilities for the following day with strong attention to detail
  • Work collaboratively with all spa and hotel departments
