Role: Breakfast Chef 
Location: Seaham Hall, County Durham
Resort information: https://www.seaham-hall.co.uk/
Salary: up to £26,500 depending on experience plus share of service charge (approx. £2k per annum for full time employees)
Hours: 40 hours a week over 5 days including weekends & bank holidays. Starting 6am.
Relationships: General Manager, Head Chef, Kitchen Team

We are seeking talented and passionate Breakfast Chef to join our team in The Dining Room at Seaham Hall.

 

As Breakfast Chef, you will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of breakfast, ensuring that all locally sourced ingredients and dishes are prepared to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes in your designated section of the kitchen
  • Ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards
  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
  • Assisting with stock control and ordering
  • Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment​

 

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or a Demi Chef de Partie
  • Passionate about cooking
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in professional cookery (desirable)
  • Provide own knives
