Role: Kitchen Porter
Location: Seaham Hall, County Durham

Salary: £12.21 per hour 
Hours: 20-35 hours a week on a zero hour contract, including weekends & bank holidays. 
Relationships: General Manager, Executive Head Chef, Kitchen Team

We are seeking to appoint a Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team in providing a clean and safe working environment too agreed standards within The Dining Room or Geko.  

The ideal candidate

  • Previous cleaning experience is desired
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Attention to detail to ensure the 5-star standard of service is delivered
  • Ability to effectively interact with management, and team members in a professional manner
  • Be a team player as well as an individual worker
  • To be well presented and represent a high standard of competence at all times
  • Must have transport

Financial

  • To Control stock of all cleaning equipment and chemical products using a systematic approach
  • Control stock movement and ensure stock security
  • To actively promote correct usage of chemicals

People

  • To attend and contribute to team meetings
  • To actively promote an attitude of Hygiene and methodical cleaning amongst all team members

Service/Product

  • To avoid chemical and water wastage by following Manufacturers guidelines and training
  • To keep kitchens in a clean and presentable manor at all times
  • Report any maintenance issues to the head chef immediately
  • To follow all cleaning schedules and routines
  • Use all Machinery as instructed by manufactures guidelines
