Role: Assistant Restaurant Manager – The Dining Room
Location: Seaham Hall, County Durham
Resort information: https://www.seaham-hall.co.uk/
Salary: Up to £30,000 depending on experience & to be discussed at interview plus a share of monthly service charge, approx. 2k a year
Hours: 40+ hours (Full-Time), including weekends & bank holidays, various shift patterns to cover breakfast through to dinner service.
Relationships: General Manager, Kitchen team, Food & Beverage team

The ideal candidate

  • Hospitality Expertise: Previous experience in bar/restaurant settings and the capability to deputise for the Restaurant Manager.  
  • Customer Service Excellence: Outstanding communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences.  
  • Tech-Savvy Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft systems and familiarity with Micros/Simphony EPOS systems.  
  • Professionalism: Ability to interact effectively with staff, management, and guests while maintaining a polished and professional demeanor.  
  • Team-Oriented: A collaborative spirit balanced with the ability to take initiative when working independently.  
  • To be well presented and represent a high standard of competence at all times 
  • Transport: Due to our location, personal transport is essential.  

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Restaurant Manager to uphold service excellence and standards
  • Assist in training team members to maintain top-tier performance.
  • Support daily operations, ensuring smooth service across all shifts.
