Description

Marketing Executive (Email & Content)

We’re looking for a Marketing Executive to join our marketing department. It’s the perfect role to develop and expand your skills while working across two luxury brands: Seaham Hall and the resort chain Luxury Lodges.

Based at Seaham Hall in County Durham, you’ll report directly to the Marketing Manager and work closely with our Lead Marketing Executive and Social Media Marketing Executive, bringing campaigns to life through great web and email content. This is a varied role with a particular focus on website content, copywriting and email marketing. If you have a way with words, a sharp eye for detail and love creating content that inspires guests to book, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

•     Update and manage content across multiple websites, including copy, imagery, offers and landing pages

•     Write compelling, on-brand copy for websites, emails, blogs, brochures, paid ads and promotional materials

•     Write, build and schedule email campaigns and newsletters

•     Input and update email and customer content in the CRM

•     Work on projects for individual resorts, which can include creating marketing assets and delivering mini campaigns

•     Support residences and lodge sales marketing with web content, email campaigns and sales materials

•     Act as the day-to-day contact for design, print and web agencies, managing projects, timelines and the delivery of assets

•     Book and manage external photography and videography

•     Pull website and email performance data (such as open rates and click-throughs) to feed into the marketing performance reports

•     Proofread and edit content from across the business to ensure accuracy and consistency

•     Ensure consistent use of brand guidelines and tone of voice across both brands and all channels

•     Deliver the website and email elements of campaigns across both brands, working from agreed briefs

•     Create and update marketing documents, promotional materials and other ad hoc content

•     Manage the marketing department’s inbox, coordinating admin tasks across multiple resorts

•     Respond to marketing-related requests and enquiries from colleagues across the organisation

•     Carry out additional marketing duties as required

Skills & Qualifications

•     Degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications or a relevant professional qualification

•     Excellent written English, with examples of copywriting you can share

•     Knowledge of WordPress (or similar CMS)

•     Experience using an email marketing platform (such as Mailchimp, Dotdigital or similar)

•     Some familiarity with Google Analytics would be an advantage

•     Proficiency in Canva, with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) desirable

•     Basic HTML knowledge would be an advantage

•     Understanding of CRM systems, data segmentation and GDPR would be an advantage

•     Willingness to travel to our resorts, with a full UK driving licence preferred

About You

•     A natural writer who can adapt tone of voice for different audiences and formats

•     Eager to learn and open to coaching from senior team members

•     Creative, enthusiastic and proactive in your approach

•     A collaborative team player, confident in contributing new ideas

•     A confident communicator, comfortable liaising with external agencies and suppliers

•     Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a sharp eye for typos and inconsistencies

•     Strong problem-solving and creative-thinking abilities

•     Proven organisational and time-management skills, able to juggle multiple deadlines

•     Flexible and adaptable, happy to switch between projects and brands

Benefits

•     Hybrid working opportunities (after successful probation period)

•     Employee recognition scheme, including Employee of the Quarter and Employee of the Year

•     Workplace wellness programme, including access to the fitness suite (off-peak times)

•     In-house and external training opportunities

•     Staff discounts across both brands

•     Uniform provided

•     Free onsite parking
