Seamore’s is looking to add highly motivated and skilled Sous Chefs to our team. We are a young, growing company who’s core focus is making local, sustainable seafood accessible. We’re an open, fast-paced kitchen that values quality, excellence, and opportunities for growth.
Candidates should have a basic knowledge of COGS, an understanding of maintaining restaurant inventory and ordering, an ability to maintain purveyor relationships, and an understanding or desire to learn basic restaurant financials.
In addition, this role will be responsible for supervising a team of 15-20 hourly employees, managerial support, helping to facilitate food prep, maintaining kitchen and station cleanliness, upholding DOH standards, and an ability to expedite in a high-volume kitchen.
Additional Requirements:
-New York food handlers certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks time)
-A minimum of 1-2 years in back of house management experience
-Open availability
-Positive attitude and eagerness to grow and learn
-Ability to work well as part of a team
