The Pastry Cook at SEIA is responsible for executing menu items with precision, consistency, and respect for Italian culinary tradition. This role supports the culinary team by maintaining station readiness, adhering to technique and standards, and contributing to a seamless service that reflects SEIA’s commitment to quality and authenticity.
Your Responsibilities:
• Oversees assigned areas of pastry production and works service.
• Execute recipes, maintain kitchen equipment, and always be on time
• Use working knowledge of basic pastry techniques; scaling, mixing, proofing, baking, decorating, finishing, etc.
• Assist in the production of a dynamic pastry program for the restaurants and bakery including seasonal specials.
• As a member of the bakery team, ensure stated direction and guidance in quality standards are achieved daily.
• Assure all necessary items are in the restaurant/bakery at the start of the shift. Communicate any needs in appropriate
timeframe, ensuring all ingredients represent the quality standards and are in line with the standards established by the
Chef.
Your Qualifications:
• Minimum 1-3 years’ experience professional cooking experience in restaurant or establishment of similar caliber.
• High School Diploma, or equivalent level of education, required (Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all
units of measure)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in clear English.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule. (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
• You must be organized, motivating, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and of course personable. Working
knowledge of reservation management systems is highly preferred.
