What you’ll do:
We’re looking for team members who care about Cornwall and its way of life. As a member of our team, you’ll work alongside likeminded individuals who support each other and prioritise happiness, in every interaction, for our guests and team alike.

We’re looking for someone with attention to detail, organisational skills and fresh ideas to help our guests squeeze the most out of their visits, and come away feeling refreshed and inspired. As the food and beverage manager, you’ll lead our teams across our three restaurants and work with our events and kitchen teams to deliver memorable beach events.

The Beach Hut
Staying true to its roots while embracing the new, the Beach Hut will blend classic favourites with a 50% plant-based menu and new sustainable purpose. It’s all about easy beach dining and considered food with an upbeat, warm welcome – however bracing the sea breeze outside.

The Living Space
Sofa, armchair, banquette table or decked ocean-view terrace? Coffee, cream tea, beer, gin or cocktails? Sharing platter, seasonal salad, hearty fillers or kids’ dinner? Anything goes in The Living Space, so find what’s right for you and settle in.

What your days could look like:

  • Managing all of our drinks lists, including wine, within brand and financial parameters.
  • Working with the Hotel Director/ Executive Chef and chefs to continually improve all aspects of food and beverage service, menus and business performance.
  • Oversee the training and development of both the restaurant management, bar and waiting team, including scheduled and on the job training.
  • Ensuring that the team have excellent product knowledge.
  • Ensuring that all revenue, payroll and overhead budgets are met and that costs directly reflect business levels.
  • Overseeing all beverage ordering and deliveries to ensure effective stock control and to minimize wastage.
  • Taking responsibility for Health and Safety within the restaurant areas and enforce all food hygiene/health & safety/fire regulations, attending any training as required.
  • Working with internal specialists to ensure the food and beverage offering connects with the wider sustainability, people and commercial strategies.
  • Working with our internal brand and marketing teams to devise campaigns, content and events which connect to our wider brand and commercial goals.
  • Working with development project groups to consider, devise and deliver new food and beverage concepts. 

Job skills & requirements:

  • Have a passion for and understanding of good food and great wine
  • 3-5 years in a senior management position within a hotel or restaurant
  • Experience of overseeing multi-outlet venues or cluster management
  • Previous experience of managing, leading and training a large team
  • Knowledge of HR procedures
  • An exquisite understanding of hospitality
  • A proven track record of consistently achieving financial targets
  • A WSET qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of running events and private dining
  • Barista experience
