Sexy Fish, in the heart of Mayfair, is an avant-garde dining destination known for its opulent décor, innovative cuisine, and electric atmosphere. Inspired by Japan, the menu features sushi, sashimi, tempura, and robata, while the bar boasts the world’s largest Japanese whisky collection. Our exceptional wine programme offers over 500 wines, from fine and rare labels to an extensive Champagne selection, exciting finds from lesser-known regions, and a curated sake list. We are currently seeking an eager and service-oriented Junior Sommelier to join our esteemed team. As a Junior Sommelier, you will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to our wine program, provide recommendations to guests, and be an integral part of delivering an exceptional dining experience. If you have a keen interest in the world of wine, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to excellence, we invite you to embark on this exciting journey with us at our amazing restaurant.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Learn and provide recommendations to guests, suggesting wine pairings that enhance their dining experience.

- Support the senior sommelier team in daily operations and special events.

- Attend regular tastings and educational sessions to expand your knowledge.

- Collaborate with the management team to contribute to the overall success of the restaurant.

 

Requirements:

- A passion for wine and a desire to pursue a career as a sommelier.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Willingness to learn and develop your skills in the art of wine service.

- Impeccable grooming and presentation.

- Basic knowledge of wine regions and varietals is advantageous.
