Sexy Fish Manchester, located in the heart of Spinningfields, is an avant-garde dining destination celebrated for its opulent decor, innovative cuisine, and electric atmosphere. As a pioneer in the culinary scene, Sexy Fish offers a unique blend of art, fashion, and culinary excellence. Our food takes its inspiration from Asian cuisine, with a focus on Japan – sushi, sashimi, tempura, and robata. The bar is known for offering the world's largest Japanese Whisky Collection and prides itself on unique service standards and cocktail knowledge. With creativity and flair at the front of every cocktail & drink created, the Sexy Fish London team won the Best International Restaurant Bar at TOTC 2022 and have brought the same excellence to Manchester. 

We are currently seeking a dedicated and organised Kitchen Co-Ordinator/ Goods Receiver to support the smooth daily operations of our kitchen. This role is key to ensuring accurate receiving, storage, and recording of deliveries, as well as assisting with general kitchen administration. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Receive, inspect, and verify all kitchen deliveries for quantity and quality.

- Accurately log all incoming goods and ensure stock is stored correctly following food safety standards

- Work closely with the Head Chef and suppliers to resolve discrepancies or issues with orders.

- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control and stock rotation (FIFO).

- Ensure all delivery documentation is properly filed and recorded in kitchen systems.

- Support the kitchen team with administrative tasks including ordering, invoicing, and compliance logs.

- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in storage areas, including fridges and dry stores.

- Adhere to health and safety, and food hygiene standards at all times.
 

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a goods receiving or similar role is advantageous but not required.

Basic computer literacy (knowledge of Microsoft Excel or kitchen inventory systems a plus).

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling paperwork and inventory.

- Ability to lift and move heavy boxes.

- Familiarity with food safety and storage practices.
