Host/Hostess

Our vibrant Chelsea restaurant, Shukette, is looking for a host.  We have been heralded by the NY Times for its "extroverted, generous spirit" and an approach to Middle Eastern Cooking that is long "overdue in New York." Led by Chef Ayesha Nurdjaja, a 2022 and 2023 James Beard Award finalist for Best New Chef: New York, Shukette has been recognized as one of the top new restaurants in the city. 

Candidates must have:
-A minimum of 2 years working in Hospitality or Guest Services, preferably in NYC restaurants.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Experience with Resy
-Scheduling flexibility, willing to work mornings, nights, weekends, or holidays
-Friendly outgoing personality and enjoy social interaction
-Ability to act with grace and professionalism under pressure
-Patience, empathy and the ability to be a courteous listener
-A can-do attitude in response to guest requests
-Passion for restaurants, food and hospitality, and all of the tasks required to excel in this position
-An eye for detail and care in regards to the cleanliness and the appearance of the restaurant
-Work well in teams and have a commitment working cohesively with all restaurant staff to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
