We are looking for an experienced Maitre'ds that likes fast paced environments along with great energy!
We seek responsible, kind, hardworking individuals, with a positive and professional attitude and work-ethic. Our ideal candidates will bring genuine passion for service, hospitality, and enjoy working in a fast paced, high energy work environment.
This exciting Chelsea restaurant Shukette has been heralded by the NY Times for its "extroverted, generous spirit" and an approach to Middle Eastern Cooking that is "long overdue in New York." Led by Chef Ayesha Nurdjaja, a 2022 James Beard Award finalist for Best New Chef: New York, Shukette has been recognized as one of the top new restaurants in the city. Every night feels like a warm and breezy Summer evening at a cafe on the Mediterranean coast. Esoteric wines sourced from around the region and captivating fortified and aromatized cocktails round out our beverage program which perfectly complements the food.
Takes walk in reservations, figuring out the best way to seat guests
Sends walk ins to the bar or maintains a waitlist when necessary
Constantly communicates table status with guests
Coordinates large party reservations, or special circumstances with management
Dynamic personality with the ability to engage guests, and work well with others.
Organized with the ability to maximize cover counts, seating flow, and guest satisfaction.
Calm, composed, professional, able to multi task, and work under high pressure situations.
The ability to supervise the host staff and ensure proper protocol is always followed.
Navigate reservations platform and client database proficiently
