Description

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Club Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Club restaurant, ensuring exceptional members service, maintaining operational standards, and driving financial performance. This role is responsible for supervising staff, managing customer satisfaction, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and contributing to the achievement of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities Operations Management

·         Assist in managing the day-to-day restaurant operations.

·         Ensure service standards, cleanliness, and food quality are consistently maintained.

·         Monitor opening, closing, and shift procedures.

·         Ensure compliance with company policies and operational procedures.

Team Leadership

·         Supervise and motivate restaurant team members during shifts.

·         Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of employees.

·         Conduct regular shift briefings and communicate operational priorities.

·         Manage staff scheduling and labour deployment.

·         Address employee concerns and support performance management initiatives.

Members Experience

·         Ensure members always receive outstanding service.

·         Handle member complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

·         Monitor members feedback and implement improvement actions.

·         Build positive relationships with members and encourage repeat visits.

Financial Management

·         Assist in achieving sales, profitability, and labour cost targets.

·         Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.

·         Identify opportunities to increase revenue and operational efficiency.

Health, Safety and Compliance

·         Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.

·         Conduct regular restaurant inspections and address corrective actions.

·         Maintain accurate operational and compliance records.

·         Support company and local authority audits.

Qualifications & Experience

·         Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.

·         Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations.

·         Experience in staff supervision, scheduling, and training.

·         Understanding of financial controls, labour management, and inventory procedures.

·         Food Safety certification preferred.
