Cook- Special Venues

 

Smashburger Cook Responsibilities 

  • Prepare guest orders for one or more special venue locations which could include sporting arenas, concert venues, etc.
  • When special venues are not operating, work with local market to support corporate locations in the back of house
  • Be a menu expert, follow Smashburger’s prep and menu recipe standards to prepare guest orders
  • Must be able to read and prepare food orders and receive verbal instructions and cook food according to those instructions
  • Team work! Must be able to work with others on the line and communicate effectively with GSEs and managers in a busy restaurant environment
  • Have pride in maintaining cleanliness of kitchen floors, equipment and counters at all times
  • Follow checklists and proven systems to set up, stock and close the kitchen
  • Operate large cooking equipment such as grills and deep fryers; must be capable of using knives and slicing equipment 
  • Foster and value a safe work environment by following all personal and food safety and security standards
  • Values integrity and doing the right thing, even when no one is watching 

 Smashburger Cook Requirements

  • Must be 16 years old
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time and to move and lift boxes of food/ supplies up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in high temperature
  • Show up on time to work variable hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must successfully complete our training program
  • Ability to follow all guidelines and procedures set forth by Smashburger, local, state, and federal employment regulations
  • Must be able to produce authorized U.S. work documents; Smashburger participates in E-verify
