Logistics and Warehouse Manager – Nights flexible start time from 11pm onwards, 40 hours per week, reporting to Head of Operations.
Salary £35,000 per annum.
We are seeking an experienced logistics and warehouse manager with inventory management, team leadership, warehouse management systems, and health and safety compliance, along with experience in optimizing operations, coordinating logistics, and managing budgets. Implementing weekly rota for drivers and warehouse. Be able to resolve any arising problems escalating issues as required. As required provide support in solving day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
· Warehouse Operations:
Overseeing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, including product movement, picking, and loading.
· Inventory Management:
Maintaining accurate stock levels, conducting perpetual stock control, and ensuring proper product storage and rotation.
· Team Management:
Recruiting, training, motivating, and supervising warehouse staff and drivers to ensure productivity and efficiency.
· Logistics Coordination:
Planning and executing logistics, including coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, liaising with transport companies.
· Health & Safety:
Enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards and regulations within the warehouse, ensuring a safe working environment.
· Technology & Systems:
Utilizing and implementing Warehouse Management Systems, database software, and other relevant technologies to improve operations, and operate warehouse machinery (e.g forklifts and bailers)
· Cost & Performance:
Managing budgets, optimizing storage space, and implementing cost-saving measures while meeting performance objectives and quality standards.
· Leadership Skills:
Proven ability to manage teams, foster a cooperative work environment, and provide effective verbal and written feedback.
· Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyse supply chain processes, monitor KPIs, and use data to drive improvements and prevent loss.
· Communication Skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
· Organizational Skills:
Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and optimize space and workflows.
