Firmdale Hotels, a collection of luxury boutique hotels known for their stylish interiors and exceptional service, is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our acclaimed team at The Soho Hotel. This is an incredible opportunity to become part of a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen environment within a company that values innovation, quality, and career growth.
As a Kitchen Porter, you will be a crucial member of our kitchen team, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation. Your role will involve supporting the chefs and kitchen staff in maintaining a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. This position offers a fantastic chance to work in a high-energy setting and develop your skills in a hands-on role.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and utensils.
- Assist with basic food preparation as required by the chefs.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly.
- Help manage deliveries and storage of food supplies.
- Support the team in adhering to health and safety standards.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
What you Need:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication abilities and a collaborative attitude.
- A passion for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing demands.
