Description
The food & beverage department at SoJo Spa Club consists of multiple dining outlets (one of which is seasonal). One focuses on quick-service and fast-casual style dining, and another offers full-service and spa-centric food items.
Team members working in either dining area deliver friendly and quality customer service, while having full understanding of menu items.
Availability:
A high level of availability is expected as SoJo Spa Club operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days out of the year.
Responsibilities:
• Take guests’ food & drink orders accurately
• Utilize POS system
• Upsell and/or suggest menu items
• Work closely with kitchen team to deliver food in timely manner
• Work closely with management to create a pleasant dining experience for guests
• Assist with maintaining a clean dining room
• Perform opening & closing duties as outlined by management
• Work cohesively within own department, as well as with other department employees to create a cooperative working environment
• Maintain clean and sanitary working environment and dining area
Competencies/Skills:
• Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods
• Strong verbal and communicative skills required
• Ability to use restaurant POS software platform
• Must show initiative and reception to learning
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
Education/Experience:
• High school diploma/GED required
• 1+ year(s) customer service experience required
• Food service/Hospitality experience preferred
