Description

At The Headland, we blend Heritage with Heart to create unforgettable experiences. We are deeply committed to putting the Cornish community first and protecting our stunning coastline. As a proud EarthCheck partner, eco-friendly practices are in our DNA. We don't just talk about sustainability; we live it every day. Together, we provide effortless, elevated hospitality in spaces designed for everyone—where our guests (and their four-legged friends!) can relax, play, and make lifelong memories.

The Role

We have an exciting role available for a Spa Receptionist to be the first point of contact for guests and members and ensure a warm, memorable and personalised welcome to the Aqua Club & Headland Spa. The Aqua Club is our multi-million-pound leisure complex, comprising of six pools, a sun terrace with impressive ocean views, and a stunning restaurant named The Deck.

As our Spa Receptionist you will work across both Reception desks in the Aqua Club and Headland Spa, greeting every guest with a smile and using your natural warmth to make every interaction memorable. You will know and understand what it means to deliver genuine hospitality and will thrive on the challenge of always exceeding our guests and members expectations.

Organised and confident, you will demonstrate an ability to multitask in a busy but relaxed environment by the coast, whilst maintaining a proactive and passionate approach to guest care. At the Headland, we pride ourselves on our ‘one-team’ approach, therefore a team-work mindset will benefit you greatly in forming excellent relationships with both the Aqua Club, Spa and wider hotel team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Greeting spa guests warmly, guiding them through the check-in process, introducing them to our spa facilities, and ensuring the spa reception and lounge areas remain immaculate and tranquil.
  • Handling spa inquiries, treatment bookings, package requests, and guest feedback with professional care, ensuring our luxury service standards are maintained at all times.
  • Managing spa appointment schedules, processing payments accurately, coordinating with therapists, and ensuring guest health questionnaires and personal preferences are properly recorded and communicated.

What We Are Looking For

  • A versatile team player with strong attention to detail and a passion for outstanding customer service.
  • Flexibility and a proactive, positive attitude.
  • Previous experience using Microsoft packages and spa/hotel management software such as Maestro would be preferable but not essential.

Contract & Flexibility

  • Contract type: Available on a contract for 32 hours per week.
  • Shift pattern: Involves a flexible shift pattern, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Perks & Benefits

We believe in rewarding our team with exceptional perks. When you join us, you’ll enjoy:

  • Complimentary breakfast, lunch, or dinner provided for all shifts over 6 hours
  • On-site parking
  • Gym access & weekly swim session
  • Complimentary stay after 1 years’ service
  • 40% off spa products
  • 25% off spa treatments
  • Complimentary meals in each of our restaurants, once a year
  • Special rate for Pride of Britain Hotels
  • Discounted surf lessons

As well as regular awards and recognition:

  • Monthly recognition awards
  • Annual festive awards event
  • Long service awards dinner
