Summary 

 As a Regional Event Sales Manager at SPIN, you are responsible for executing sales strategies within a designated geographic region(s). You will lead sales team members, manage client accounts, and ensure sales targets are met and exceeded by building and maintaining strong customer relationships, all while analyzing market trends and providing leadership to the sales team to maximize and optimize revenue in your assigned locations 

You are the catalyst for driving event sales across multiple venues, ensuring each one operates at peak performance. You are responsible for overseeing and selling for multiple locations (specific locations may change or be added/removed). You will serve as a prospecting and cross-selling expert for regional and national accounts, and a mentor for current and new team members. You will refine the SPIN experience by ensuring all standard event sales processes are followed and continuously improved. You will be responsible for reaching and exceeding sales goals and budgets for yourself and your team members. You will coach and motivate sales team members to achieve individual and collective sales targets.

  • Sales Planning, Strategies, &Management: Work with the SVP of Revenue and other RESMs to develop and manage strategies to help sales teams reach and exceed set budgets. 
  • Venue Support: Provide on-site and remote sales support and management to multiple venues. Ensure a seamless experience for clients and venue teams, including booking events, responding to inquiries, coordinator duties, prospecting, and assigned tasks. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key clients; understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction. 
  • Cross-Selling & Account Management: Actively seek out and engage in cross-selling opportunities across multiple venues to maximize regional and national account potential. Work closely with venue teams to identify and capitalize on these opportunities. 
  • Training & Development: Assist in the training of new Event Sales team members by providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to excel in their roles. Offer regular and ongoing support and coaching. This may include training and advice on the brand and best SPIN practices. 
  • Performance Monitoring: Oversee and monitor the performance of standard event sales SOPs within Tripleseat and SevenRooms at each venue. Identify areas of improvement and assist in implementing strategies to enhance overall efficiency and client satisfaction. Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and potential opportunities within the region and for SPIN.
  • Sales Forecasting and Budgeting: Forecast sales revenue, manage sales budgets, and track performance against sales targets 
  •  Reporting and Communication: Prepare sales reports, presenting findings to senior management 
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly review sales metrics, identify areas for improvement, and provide feedback to sales team members and senior management. 
  • Client Engagement: Transform inquiries into booked events by communicating the unique features and benefits of SPIN’s venue offerings. If in venue, conduct site visits, entertain potential clients, and work closely with the Operations Team to ensure world-class event execution.
  • Sales Goals: Consistently meet and exceed Period and overall sales team goals across all assigned venues. Assist in increasing sales in assigned locations and for event sales through venue support and project fulfillment. 
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Take direction well and demonstrate the ability to lead and support the Sales Teams and General Managers across your region and all SPIN locations. Lead by example 
  • Event Coordination: Work with clients to plan and coordinate events and ensure that all booked events are executed as world-class experiences. Maintain price integrity and adherence to the brand. 
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain long-term client relationships to drive repeat business and referrals. 
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties and work on projects as assigned

Qualifications 

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in an Event Sales Management role within the Hospitality and Unique Venues industry. Experience managing multiple venues and team members or locations is a plus. 
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Advertising, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively selling the SPIN experience. 
  • Problem-Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise. 
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for detail is critical for ensuring the success of every event. 
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and word processing applications. Experience with booking software platforms such as SevenRooms and Tripleseat is a bonus but not required. Experience with Apple Mac is also helpful but not required.
