Are you practical, organised and someone who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes?

We’re looking for a Housekeeping Porter to join our team at Swinton Estate. This is a varied, hands-on role that plays an important part in delivering the high standards our guests expect, supporting our housekeeping teams across Swinton Park Hotel, Swinton Country Club & Spa and Swinton Bivouac.

You’ll help ensure that clean linen and towels are available where and when they are needed across the Estate, collecting and transporting linen between our properties and our onsite laundry.

Alongside laundry operations, you’ll support the wider housekeeping team to make sure our guest bedrooms and public areas are clean, welcoming and presented to an excellent standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Collecting linen from Swinton Park Hotel, Swinton Country Club & Spa and Swinton Bivouac
• Transporting linen safely between our properties and onsite laundry
• Operating industrial washing machines, dryers and other laundry equipment
• Sorting, organising and restocking clean linen and towels
• Supporting the movement of furniture and equipment around the hotel, including Z-beds
• Assisting the housekeeping team with the preparation and upkeep of guest bedrooms
• Helping to keep corridors, stairways, sitting rooms and other public areas looking their best
• Supporting recycling and responsible waste-management practices
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Estate to maintain consistently high standards

You don’t necessarily need previous hotel or laundry experience, as full training will be provided. What’s most important is that you’re reliable, have a good eye for detail and are happy working in a busy, physically active environment.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds a valid UK driving licence
• Has a positive, practical and proactive approach to work
• Can work confidently both independently and as part of a team
• Takes pride in maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Is organised and able to manage their time effectively
• Is comfortable with a physically active role involving regular standing, lifting, carrying and bending
• Has a basic understanding of recycling and responsible waste management
• Is flexible and able to work a rota that may include weekends and bank holidays

Previous experience in housekeeping, laundry operations, hospitality or a similar environment would be an advantage, but it isn't essential.
