Pay: $80000 - $90000 / year plus bonus


Job Summary:

As the Assistant General Manager, you will support the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and leading the team to achieve business goals. You will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining service standards, and driving profitability.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure seamless service and a 5-star guest experience.
  • Collaborate with department heads to optimize service standards, streamline processes, and maintain an exceptional dining experience.
  • Train and supervise staff, ensuring they provide excellent customer service and uphold our restaurant's high standards.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring proper stock levels of ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation, timely service, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and issues in a professional and timely manner, ensuring superior guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and promotional activities to attract new customers and increase revenue.
  • Uphold health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and sanitary environment throughout the restaurant.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager in budget planning, cost control, and financial management.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar level managerial role (or higher) in a high-volume restaurant environment is required.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with staff, customers, and vendors.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns.
  • Solid knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, inventory management, and health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications such as MS Office and restaurant management software.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English

Physical Demands:

  • Physical demands include light work, prolonged walking and/or standing along with the occasional exertion of up to 30lbs of force.
