What we expect for You "The Role" - Commis Chef

We like our staff to work hard and be committed

To work a quota of wedding per year split over 4 quarters.

Full Job Description: -

  • Setting up the kitchen prior to the start of shift
  • Preparing a particular kitchen station by bringing all food containers, deliveries
  • Cooking a specific portion of each plated meal
  • Assisting with marinating, cutting and precooking foods
  • Cleaning the kitchen before the end of shift.
  • Cleaning and sanitising their area with warm water and soap
  • Wrapping unused items and storing them in proper areas at the end of a shift
  • Plating food creatively and maximizing customer enjoyment
  • To produce food of an impeccable standard in line with Country House Weddings and Customer expectation to ensure our reputation as Britain’s Premier Wedding Venue is maintained.
  • In the absence of the Head Chef to ensure that the same high standard of catering is achieved
  • To maintain food standards and quality procedures set out in the food manual
  • To ensure that all purchases are made are in line with Country House Weddings procedures and to make regular reference to the Bridesbook literature to ensure that you are familiar with menus and company policy with regard to catering
  • To ensure that recipes of all menus are available and that all staff are adhering to these
  • To liaise with all in house departments to ensure good communication between departments
  • Your input will be required in the preparation of new menus
  • Hours to include breakfast and buffet
  • To maintain health and hygiene standards and ensure all is documented
  • To have up-to-date first aid training or willing to take the necessary training
