Enhanced by serene scenery, first-class hospitality and an abundance of comfortable accommodation, St Audries Park offers all the charm you would expect from a beautiful country manor wedding venue in Somerset. With our beautiful Orangery and extensive grounds, our country house is the first choice for many wanting a coastal wedding.

Our beautiful wedding venue became part of the Country House Weddings portfolio of hand-picked wedding venues in 2002, with more than 30 years of experience offering perfect weddings to couples, our exclusive-use, venue hire and catering packages take care of your wedding day from start to finish, overseen by our expert team.

From specialist wedding Chefs, experienced Personal Wedding Managers and a fantastic wait team, to knowledgeable grounds teams and passionate housekeepers, our teams pride themselves on providing a top-quality service that helps make our weddings a success.

Are you passionate about food, eager to learn, and not afraid of getting stuck in? At St Audries Park, we’re looking for a Kitchen Assistant who’s not only happy to help with the washing up but also wants to grow their skills in a fast-paced, from-scratch banqueting kitchen.

Whether you’re starting out or looking to take the next step, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional kitchen that values creativity, teamwork, and fresh cooking.

What to Expect from Us

  • A supportive and experienced team committed to your development

  • Ongoing training and opportunities to grow within the group

We want someone who:

  • Works hard, is reliable and takes pride in their role

  • Has a genuine interest in food, cooking, and learning new kitchen skills

  • Is happy to work longer shifts during busy summer months

  • Thrives as part of a team and enjoys a lively, hands-on working environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Help keep our kitchen clean, organised, and ready for action

  • Support basic food prep – chopping, peeling, washing, and learning as you go

  • Clean equipment and ensure hygiene standards are met

  • Wash dishes, pots, and utensils – by hand and dishwasher

  • Receive and organise deliveries

  • Properly dispose of kitchen waste

  • Assist chefs and the wider kitchen team wherever needed

No Experience? No Problem.

We provide full training – all we ask is that you bring a great attitude and a willingness to learn.
If you're ready to roll up your sleeves and get involved in a dynamic, professional kitchen, we’d love to hear from you.
