What You’ll Do
As a Sauté Cook, you will be responsible for executing high-quality dishes from the sauté station with precision, consistency, and efficiency. Your mission is to master sauté techniques, ensure proper timing and execution, and contribute to a high-energy, fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute all sautéed dishes according to our recipes and specifications
- Utilize sauté techniques such as deglazing, flambéing, and emulsifying to enhance flavors
- Maintain proper pan control, heat management, and sauce reduction techniques
- Work closely with chefs and fellow cooks to ensure smooth kitchen flow and proper ticket timing
- Monitor and control sauté station mise en place, ensuring ingredients are prepped and stocked
- Follow recipe guidelines, portion controls, and plating standards to maintain consistency
- Ensure proper doneness, seasoning, and sauce balance in every dish
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards always
- Work collaboratively with BOH and FOH teams to ensure seamless service
- Follow health department sanitation requirements and adhere to all safety guidelines
- Execute tasks assigned by Chefs and Kitchen Leadership with professionalism and enthusiasm
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Sauté Cook, Line Cook, or similar role in a high-volume kitchen
- Strong understanding of sauté techniques, sauce work, and protein cookery
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistency
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in handling proteins, vegetables, and starches
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Passion for culinary arts, teamwork, and continuous growth
