What You’ll Do
As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality desserts and baked goods that meet our elevated standards of presentation, flavor, and consistency. Your mission is to bring creativity and precision to every dish, ensuring a memorable dining experience for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute desserts, pastries, and baked goods according to our recipes and standards
- Assist in daily mise en place, including mixing, shaping, and baking pastries and confections
- Plate and present desserts with artistic precision, ensuring consistency and quality
- Monitor and maintain proper temperatures and baking times for all pastry items
- Assist with chocolate work, sugar work, and other pastry techniques as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry station and storage areas
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of all pastry ingredients and finished products
- Collaborate with the BOH team and leadership to develop seasonal dessert specials
- Follow health department sanitation requirements and adhere to food safety regulations
- Execute tasks assigned by Chefs and Kitchen Leadership with professionalism and enthusiasm
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Pastry Cook, Baker, or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or bakery
- Strong understanding of pastry techniques, baking principles, and dessert presentation
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Excellent attention to detail with commitment to consistency and quality
- Familiarity with pastry tools, equipment, and specialty ingredients
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- A passion for pastry arts, innovation, and creating memorable guest experiences
