HOST – STOUT NYC | 35TH STREET

Location: Midtown Manhattan – Penn Station / Madison Square Garden
Position: Host
Schedule: Part-Time / Flexible Availability

Stout NYC 35th Street is looking for an outgoing, organized, and hospitality-driven Host to join our front-of-house team.

Located steps from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden, Stout 35th Street is a high-volume restaurant and bar that serves a mix of neighborhood regulars, commuters, sports fans, private events, and large crowds surrounding concerts and events at MSG. Our hosts play an important role in setting the tone for every guest experience and keeping the restaurant organized during both everyday service and high-volume event periods.

Responsibilities include:

• Warmly greeting and welcoming guests as they enter the restaurant

• Managing reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists

• Coordinating seating and table rotation with management and the service team

• Communicating accurate wait times and reservation information to guests

• Answering phones and assisting with general guest inquiries

• Staying informed about private events, large parties, sporting events, and MSG events that may affect service

• Maintaining an organized and professional host stand and entrance

• Communicating clearly with servers, bartenders, bussers, and management

• Helping manage guest flow during high-volume pre-event and post-event periods

• Providing friendly, attentive hospitality from the moment guests arrive until they leave

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to remain composed and welcoming in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Dependability and punctuality

• Ability to multitask and make good decisions under pressure

• A team-first attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate

Availability:

Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred. Candidates should be comfortable working during busy sporting events, concerts, holidays, and other high-volume periods.
