Come and join us at The Headland Hotel to complete your 12-month placement as part of your University degree. During your time with us you will fully participate in the day-to-day operations at our five-star standard. This is a 12-month placement, with a rotation set either every three months, across four departments or a six month rotation across two departments. The departments that form your rotation plan will be discussed during the interview stage, however an example of a previous rotation is mentioned below:
Food & beverage service rotation:
You will participate in one of the following services: RenMor (breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner) or The Terrace or The Deck (bar service, room service, casual dining service, poolside service).
Front of House rotation:
To ensure all our guests receive a true ‘Headland’ welcome and are treated individually with the utmost care and attention.
Housekeeping and/or Maintenance rotation:
To learn about the absolute attention to detail required when preparing guest bedrooms/cottages, alongside the front of house areas in the hotel and spa. Gain a basic understanding in areas of maintenance that are essential in a hotel, to keep the whole operation running smoothly

12-month student placement working 40 hours per week, five days out of seven including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
In line with UK Immigration and Employment Law, only applicants eligible to live and work in the UK need apply. Proof of ID will be required in the form of a Passport, National Identity Card or Birth Certificate.
