Job description: Restaurant Area Manager - Full-time
We are a locally own Subway Franchise with 8 locations in the Twin Cities areas. We have been in operations for over 30 years! We are currently looking for motivated, experienced managers with multi restaurant managing history. Area managers duties include:
Maintaining safety and food quality standards
Recruiting, interviewing and training staff to follow restaurant procedures
Keeping customers happy, getting their feedback on the experience and handling complaints
Organizing schedules, keeping track of employees’ hours and recording payroll data
Ordering food, linens, gloves and other supplies while staying within budget limitations
Supervising daily shift operations, including front- and back-of-house restaurant operations
Controlling operational costs and identifying ways to cut waste
Appraising staff performance and disciplining or retraining employees to correct poor performance
The Area manager will work directly with their restaurant staffs, other Area Managers, and the President of the company. Area managers are responsible for 3-6 restaurant locations on average. The candidate should have the following qualifications:
• 5+ years of Previous restaurant experience
• 5+ years of Management or supervisory experience
• Customer service skills
• Training in food safety (ServeSafe certification preferred)
• Financial literacy
• Inventory control skills
• Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment
