This is a unique, hands-on development program designed to train a future leader to oversee and manage multiple Subway restaurants. The ideal candidate is a proven restaurant leader with a passion for people, operational excellence, and a drive to grow their career.

This is not an entry-level position. The Multi-Unit Manager Trainee will spend a dedicated period learning all aspects of the business, from the ground up, to be fully prepared to manage an assigned district. This includes working as a Sandwich Artist, Shift Manager, and Restaurant Manager to gain a deep understanding of daily operations before transitioning into a multi-unit leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:

Training & Development:

  • Actively participate in a structured training program to learn and master all Subway operational standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Work alongside restaurant teams to learn every position, from the front of the house to back-of-house operations, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the business.

  • Learn to effectively train, coach, and motivate managers and staff to achieve operational excellence and sales goals.

Operational Oversight:

  • Assist in conducting regular store visits and audits to ensure compliance with brand standards for food safety, quality, and cleanliness.

  • Learn how to identify and address operational inefficiencies and implement corrective action plans.

  • Support the implementation of new products, promotions, and brand initiatives across multiple locations.

Financial Management:

  • Assist in analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, labor, and food cost.

  • Learn to read and interpret Profit & Loss (P&L) statements to identify opportunities for increasing profitability.

  • Help in developing and executing strategies to control costs and drive revenue growth.

Leadership & People Management:

  • Shadow existing managers and leaders to learn best practices for team development, conflict resolution, and performance management.

  • Learn the process of recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new staff members.

  • Model a positive, professional, and supportive leadership style at all times.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of proven management experience in a quick-service restaurant (QSR) or hospitality environment. Multi-unit experience is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical skills with a basic understanding of financial reports and budgets.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for travel between locations.

  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in a related field is preferred.

What We Offer:

  • A clear career path to a multi-unit leadership role.

  • Competitive salary

  • Comprehensive training and professional development.

  • Opportunity to lead a team and make a significant impact on the business.

  • Access to brand partnership discounts and other employee benefits.
