JOB DESRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: RESTAURANT MANAGER
REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the overall operation and performance of the restaurant. This poition provides leadership and direction tot he restaurant team while ensuring excellent customer service, food quality, food safety, cleanliness, and adherence to the company standards.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Completes and posts the staff work schedules. Make development plans for team weekly.
· Maintains business records. Analyzes business records to increase sales.
· Communicates changes of food preparation formulas, standards, etc. to staff.
· Builds sales and profits
· Meets speed of service standards each shift.
· Controls food, labor and other expenses within restaurant.
· Supports local and national marketing initiatives.
· Ensures that all local and national health and food safety codes are maintained and company safety and security policies are followed.
· Recruits, rewards and terminates staff as needed, controls turnover, maintains staffing levels. Preforms all employee evaluations.
· Identifies and contacts prospective customers to promote sales.
· Plans special events and promotions.
· Maintains the restaurant both inside and outside.
· Completes online coursework on the University of Subway as directed.
PREREQUISITIES
Education: High school graduate.
Must hold a state food sanitation license
Experience: Experience in QSR operations, and supervisory experience. Requires excellent communication skills, ability to deal with all levels of employees.
Physical: Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
Schedule Requirements: Available to work a minimum of two night shifts per week, available to work weekends and holidays. Limited schedule requested.
