POSITION TITLE: Assistant Manager
REPORTS TO: Management/Franchisee
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Manager supervises, coaches and leads restaurant staff and daily operations to ensure that food safety, product preparation, cleanliness and inventory control standards are maintained. Schedules and supervises staff. Maintains standards of restaurant safety and security. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position. Various partnership discounts are now available. We are looking to fill this position immediately.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
As part of the Subway® Team, you as an Assistant Manager will focus on several main things:
1. Assistant Manager performs all tasks and responsibilities of a Shift Manager as outlined in the Shift Manager job description. Preforms all tasks of a Manager as needed.
2. Responsible for Food preparation while ensuring that food safety and Operational standards are maintained personnally as well as by all staff.
3. Coordinates and manages staff so that standards of cleanliness and food saftey are maintained as outlined in the Subway® Operations Manual: Daily Procedures.
4. Manages a staff of approximately 4 to 12. Assigns, oversees and evaluates work. Recommends promotion, transfer, or termination of team members. May conduct written and verbal staff evaluations. Responsible for covering or filling shifts, as needed to ensure appropiate coverage of all weekly schedules.
5. Performs paperwork duties and assists with product orders and inventory as needed.
6. Assists with planning of special events and promotions.
7. Completes University of Subway® courses as directed.
PREREQUISITIES
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Experience in restaurant operations, preferably with supervisory experience. Must possess leadshipship and coarching skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Requires excellent communication skills, ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.
Physical: Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register (cashier). Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 20 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally. Must be open to transfering between locations.
Full Time: Day Shift/Weekend Shift/ Evening Shifts position .
