Position Summary
The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in the daily operation of the restaurant. This position helps lead the team, ensures excellent guest service, maintains food safety and cleanliness standards, and assists with scheduling, training, inventory, and operational performance. The Assistant Manager is expected to lead by example and help create a positive, fast-paced, and professional work environment.
The assistant mgr typically works afternoons and evenings and opens the store min every other weekend.
Hours will range from 25-40
Pay is based on expirence.
A background check is required for this posistion.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service

Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure every guest has a positive experience

Resolve guest concerns professionally and quickly

Help maintain fast, friendly, and accurate service during all shifts
Team Leadership

Assist with training and developing team members

Help enforce company policies and Subway operational standards

Lead shifts and ensure employees stay productive and on task

Communicate effectively with staff and management
Operations

Ensure restaurant cleanliness inside and outside the building

Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation standards

Ensure proper portioning and sandwich builds are followed

Help maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times

Complete and enforce required shift checklists
Scheduling & Staffing

Assist with employee scheduling and shift coverage

Support hiring and onboarding of new employees
-
Ensure new hire paperwork and training requirements are completed
Inventory & Cash Handling
-
Assist with inventory counts and product ordering
-
Help monitor food cost and waste
-
Perform cash handling duties accurately including deposits and drawer counts
Technology & Systems

Utilize Subway LaborIQ for scheduling as directed

Assist employees with Subway University training completion

Ensure POS systems and restaurant technology are used properly
Requirements

Previous restaurant or retail leadership experience preferred

Strong communication and leadership skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Reliable transportation and dependable attendance

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods

Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
