Runner - New Opening, SUMI Marylebone
SUMI is entering an exciting new chapter with the opening of our second restaurant in the heart of Marylebone in November 2026. Created by renowned sushi master Endo Kazutoshi and part of Creative Restaurant Group, SUMI has earned a reputation for delivering exceptional Japanese cuisine inspired by authentic traditions, expert craftsmanship and genuine hospitality.
Following the success of our Notting Hill neighbourhood restaurant, SUMI Marylebone will be a gem in one of London's most exciting dining destinations showcasing the finest seasonal ingredients, the best sushi preparation and warm, welcoming service. We're looking for talented individuals to join our founding team from day one, help us bring this exceptional restaurant to life, and grow with us as we establish a new benchmark for Japanese dining in London.
The Role
As our Runner, you will be the vital link between our kitchen and our guests, ensuring every plate reaches the table in perfect condition. You will work closely with waiters and kitchen staff to keep service running smoothly, maintain high standards of presentation, and contribute to creating an exceptional dining experience. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who wants to build hospitality experience, develop their understanding of fine dining service, and establish a strong foundation for career growth within an acclaimed restaurant group.
What You'll Be Doing
What We're Looking For
Salary: Up to £14.51 p/h including service charge, plus benefits
Why Join Us?
At Creative Restaurant Group, we want people to build careers, not simply fill roles. Starting as a Runner, you'll receive hands-on training from experienced hospitality professionals, develop your understanding of fine dining service, and have genuine opportunities to progress into head runner, waiter and wider front-of-house roles as your career develops.
Bring your energy, reliability and enthusiasm to SUMI Marylebone, and help us create something truly exceptional.
Note: Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK without corporate sponsorship.
