Shepherd Neame is looking for a part time Kitchen Porter to join our team, so if you enjoy hospitality but prefer working behind the scenes supporting your colleagues and contributing to the teams overall success; then this may be just the job for you.
Just a short stroll from the Shepherd Neame brewery in the historic medieval market town of Faversham, Kent, the Sun Inn is a busy pub and restaurant that oozes history, charm and character. Dating back to the 14th century, the Sun Inn still has a very traditional feel, boasting its original inglenook fireplaces and oak beams. It also has 12 newly refurbished en-suite bedrooms which boast contemporary style and the latest facilities, while also retaining their historic character.
We know that great kitchen Porters are also a key ingredient to a successful kitchen, so this role will see you working as part of our friendly and supportive team to ensure the delivery of a great and efficient dining experience to our customers.
If you haven’t got any previous experience in this role, please do not worry, so long as that you are confident, committed and you are a great team player, we can train you and teach you everything else that you will need to know.
