Description

Are looking for a different day every day, mainly in one of our unique tenanted pubs? Are you a safety influencer who will be able to shape safety within our tenanted estate? Are you able to drive a positive and efficient safety culture and provide support across our Tenanted Pub Estate, ensuring statutory compliance?

As our Tenanted Safety Advisor, you will effectively communicate Food Safety, Health & Safety and Fire Safety policies and procedures. Providing guidance and support to ensure the successful implementation of all 3 policies. Assist with accident and incident investigations and help drive the implementation of corrective actions. Drive performance improvements, together with supporting the tenant’s team with systems and coordinating safety-related training.

  • Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. 08:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday with 1 hour lunch (unpaid).

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Undertake in-house audit of safety practices to drive a best practice safety culture across our Tenanted Pub Estate
  • Support & coach the Tenants and their kitchen team (where applicable) to prioritise, improve and complete all corrective actions following inspection
  • Assist the Safety Team with the creation and execution of safety protocols including accident, incident and near-miss investigation recording and reporting
  • Support the development and implementation of new safety policies & risk assessments
  • Objectively cultivate collaborative interactions to continually improve the company safety systems
  • Create and maintain pub safety files in a confidential manner
  • Monitor for continued compliance in all areas of safety
  • Accurately capture all relevant business statutory compliance items
  • Broaden working knowledge of Health and Safety Executive legislation and Food Safety developments that may affect our Tenanted Pubs
  • Attend safety committee meetings as required with an overview of safety within Tenanted Pubs
  • Other duties as needed and requested by the Safety Manager 

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Preferred but not essential Level 3 Health & Safety and Food Safety qualification
  • Previous knowledge and experience of safety within the hospitality industry
  • Passion for promoting and supporting a safety-focused culture with the confidence to take ownership of key initiatives
  • Conscientious professional with a strong commitment to safety
  • Friendly and approachable with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, both written and verbal
  • Diligent with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & Outlook) and data analytical skills
  • Organised to effectively prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • A UK driving license is essential
