The Role:
The Digital team is developing the next version of the CAVA digital ordering platform with an emphasis on customer experience and cutting-edge design. CAVA is a frenetic and bustling restaurant that’s all about the food, so the technology must enable a better experience, while at the same time, does not get in the way. We are tasked with setting the standard in restaurant technology innovation and enjoy the challenge that brings. We have a creative and open team that uses modern tools and agile practices to run a lean development life cycle.

What You’ll Do:
As a Scrum Master / Project Manager, you will be responsible for facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings. You will work closely with the Engineering and Product leads to develop sprint plans. You will forecast the number of deliverables possible in an iteration, which will be based on past performance and the team’s input. You will help the team clarify goals and actions to achieve them. You will shield the team from outside distractions and interferences, ensure the correct use of scrum process, and you will track and remove impediments. You will help the product owner keep the product backlogs in good shape and ensure they are ready for the next sprint. You will help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity.

• Expertise in estimation and planning
• Able to coach individuals on Agile processes and tools
• Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict
• Possess conflict resolution, driving conversation by focusing on scrum values of openness, honesty and respect
• Ability to work with and lead a team
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment
• Self-motivated

The Qualifications:
• Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.
• 5+ years of experience with Agile teams and methodologies
• Understanding basic fundamentals of iterative and incremental development
• Familiar with common development practices and Service oriented environments
• Experience managing medium to large sized teams and large projects
• Know how to create useful, reliable and practical plans for software development projects
• Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
• Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
• Experience working with web and mobile applications
• Database Experience with Relational Databases (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL)
