The Role:
As a senior full stack developer, your main responsibility will be the development of software for the digital platform stack. Additional responsibilities will include aiding in implementation design at a code and system level, mentoring junior developers through code reviews and pair programming opportunities, and leveraging your experience to instill best practices and coding standards amongst the team.

What You’ll Do:
The Engineering team is developing the next version of the CAVA digital platform with an emphasis on customer experience and cutting-edge design. CAVA is a frenetic and bustling restaurant that’s all about the food, so the technology must be an enabler to a better experience while at the same time does not get in the way. We are tasked with setting the standard in restaurant technology innovation and enjoy the challenge that brings. We have a creative and open team that uses modern tools and agile practices to run a lean development life cycle.

The Qualifications:

• 6+ years of industry experience
• Experience working with large-scale applications
• Experience developing and integrating with RESTful web services, microservices
• Experience with Elixir or similar (Ruby, Python, NodeJS, Java/Spring)
• Experience using PostgreSQL, NoSQL
• Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines – CircleCI/gitlab/CodePipeline
• Experience using cloud platforms (AWS or similar), containerization (docker)
• Experience using git and pull requests to manage code changes; github, bitbucket
• SQL tuning and database efficiency
• Able to work independently, be self-motivated, and be engaged
• Able to communicate effectively, both technically and generally
• Able to show strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills
• Able to write robust, highly performant and testable, well-crafted code that you can be proud of

 Bonus Points For:

• Experience using the Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence, etc)
• Experience developing using agile methodologies, test driven development
• Experience building web & mobile clients using React or a similar JavaScript framework

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to maintain a stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
• Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details
• For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds
• Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
• Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
