The Role!
Through the leadership of the Vice President of Operations, Zoës Kitchen will achieve operational excellence leading to an impeccable guest experience. The VP of Operations will provide overall strategic leadership, guidance and direction for the Operations team for the Zoes Kitchen business. This leader will lead and manage all restaurants. They will ensure all key performance indicators and profitability goals are met by overseeing the financial success of every restaurant in the enterprise.

Provides strategic direction and oversight of all daily restaurant operations through Field Leadership Teams
Defines and articulates the strategic operational vision, sets focuses and work priorities for Operations.
Provides leadership and direction to other departments to ensure alignment in priorities and focuses, and to deliver the best benefit to the business.
Interacts and serves as executive sponsor to assigned initiatives; responsible for stewarding that work.
Ensure that Field Leadership upholds the standards and reputation of the brand, while enhancing guest and team member experience, and overall profitability of the entire enterprise.
Translates the overall business strategy into day-to-day execution, providing coaching and feedback to the Field Leadership team.
Partners closely and collaboratively with corporate functional leaders on all programs introduced to the field.
Builds organizational talent by promoting the development of internal leaders, as well as championing the identification and attraction of high potential external talent.
Identify objectives and systems to improve consistency and synergy throughout the restaurants.
Oversight and management of the operations of all restaurants to include all food and beverage operations, pricing strategies, budgeting, forecasting, and metrics.
Development of pre-opening business plans for new concepts, remodels, and new market entry.
Effective communication and collaboration with the other executive team members and maintaining a system of regular communication of company objectives, changes and area concerns to all management levels.
Planning and conducting restaurant visits with all levels of restaurant management to ensure the execution of quality, service and cleanliness standards on all unit parts; including the monitoring of food product quality.

What it Takes!
10-15 year of operational Multi-Unit Restaurant Leadership experience in a fast paced, high growth company.
Bachelor’s degree from nationally accredited college or university.
Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborative and build relationships throughout the entire organization.
Possess strategic thought leadership and champions strategic change initiatives within the organization.
Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Disciplined in execution of key company initiatives and works effectively in cross functional teams.
Creative problem solver that utilizes practical and logical thought processes to make quick decisions that align with company strategic initiatives.
Proven ability to deliver results with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast -paced work environment.
Thought leader in industry practices and standards.
Demonstrated abilities in project management, strategic planning and multi-level team leadership.
