What's the Gig, you ask?

As a Senior Sales Executive at Clays, you’ll combine sales excellence and exceptional hospitality. You’ll be a key player in the team to deliver our sales goals. You'll thrive in both proactive and reactive sales environments, spotting opportunities before they land, responding quickly to inbound enquiries, and always bringing value with energy and insight.

You’ll bring enthusiasm, confidence, and a can-do attitude to everything you do—building genuine relationships, understanding your clients’ world inside out, and taking initiative without needing to be asked. 

You’ll handle client calls, quoting with confidence, and ensuring we’re offering smart, tailored solutions to create amazing experiences. If you're passionate about hospitality, target-driven, and excited to progress in a fast-moving environment, this could be your next big move.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role will include but may not be limited to the following responsibilities;

Sales Excellence

  • Consistently hit and exceed pre-booked sales targets 
  • Seize every opportunity by prioritising high volumes of enquiries with with speed, precision and personal touch
  • Engage with clients by tailoring every step of the sales journey—creating a positive, memorable impression every time.
  • Support and host site visits, FAM trips and exhibitions - bringing energy and insight to every client interaction
  • Monitor booking patterns and trends to identify and maximise opportunities 
  • Keep systems clean, organised and up to date - ensuring visibility, collaboration and accountability across the team
Exceptional Hospitality 
  • Deliver tailored, thoughtful responses to phone and email enquiries - ensuring every interaction reflects Clays’ brand and values
  • Accurately record guest data and preferences in our reservations system to personalise service and enhance guest journey
  • Collaborate with Sales, Events and Operations teams to ensure smooth transitions and seamless guest experiences

SKILLS, DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Proven track record delivering in a similar position for 2+ years 
  • Experience in hospitality sales within a fast-paced environment.
  • A keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with CRM and reservation systems like SevenRooms and Salesforce.
  • Confidence in overcoming objections and resolving challenges with professionalism and empathy.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills—you can juggle multiple enquiries without breaking a sweat.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and a desire to create memorable, safe, and lasting experiences.
  • A growth mindset—you’re always looking to learn, evolve, and improve.
  • Flexibility and a can-do attitude—ready to step in and support during busy periods and events.
