Built in 2020, Brewpoint is the new and progressive brewery from Wells & Co, a family run business in Bedford which was founded in 1876 and now owns around 200 pubs in and around the surrounding counties.

 

Producing a range of premium craft beers, cask ales and lagers across a range of formats, these truly outstanding beers currently serve the Charles Wells Pub Estate in the UK and abroad – but now we are ready to create some serious noise and tempt thousands of beer drinkers to try our beers - this is where you come in!

 

To achieve our growth aims, we are looking to recruit an outstanding brand manager to join our growing Marketing team. This exciting role will help position the Wells and Brewpoint brands for growth and you will be responsible for delivering the marketing and communication plan, driving awareness of our portfolio and building our brand awareness with pubs and drinkers.

 

You will be digitally and social media savvy, capable of ingenious ideas and in turn bring these to life.  You will be a smart project manager, able to manage budgets, build strong relationships, spot opportunities and keen to measure success of the activity you deliver.

   

Reporting directly to the Head of Sales & Marketing, you will be a key part of the team, backed up by the team at Brewpoint for support. You will help support the sales team in their efforts by providing compelling sales stories and brand plans and soon your knowledge of pubs and beers will become so vast you will soon be boring your friends. 


Key Responsibilities:

·        Inspire all you meet with your passion for our beers.

·        Brand Strategy & Planning: Lead the annual brand planning cycle for Brewpoint and champion the brand agenda within the wider business.

·        Play a key role in influencing the pub teams to proactively sell in both managed and Pub Partners.

·        Together with Head of Sales and Marketing/Brewing Team, identify and develop a pipeline of NPD projects for consideration. 

·        Maximise the reach of marketing activities through joined up trade and consumer activity.

·        Ensure our beers, pump clips/lenses and support materials look the best in class at the point of purchase.

·        Own the social media plan including tone and content.

·        Run key consumer research projects so we understand the behaviours, attitudes and preferences of our target drinkers.

·        Work closely with sales team to support their efforts in trade with ‘best in class’ sales materials.

·        Work with design lead to create visually stimulating content and materials.

·        Agency management as required.

·        Work with Retail Marketing team to ensure our brands are aligned to their key deliverables.

·        Be live to all brand developments of our competitors and share these appropriately.

·        Make sure all pubs/sites who stock our beers present them with the right POS materials and meet brand standards.

·        Deliver commercial and consumer driven arguments for listing our beers verses competitor brands.

·        Budget responsibility for all POS sourcing and usage in line with agreed POS policy.

·        Attend and promote our beers at festivals and events where necessary.

·        Seek out beer related educational opportunities and keep up to date by reading industry publications.

·        Creative thinker and amazing problem solver with great communication and relationship building skills
