The Role

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Field Recruiter is a hands-on, high-output hiring partner responsible for keeping Smashburger restaurants fully staffed. You’ll drive fast, high-volume recruiting across multiple locations—owning everything from sourcing to offer—while delivering a consistent, efficient hiring process that supports restaurant operations.

Location: Hybrid (3 days/week in our Denver Support Center)

What You’ll Do

  • Own full-cycle, high-volume recruiting for hourly and restaurant roles across assigned markets
  • Partner with multi-unit operators and restaurant leaders to quickly fill open roles and maintain staffing levels
  • Execute high-impact sourcing strategies across job boards, social media, referrals, and local outreach
  • Screen candidates at scale and move them efficiently through the hiring funnel
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews, ensuring speed and a strong candidate experience
  • Support hiring managers in selection decisions and drive timely offers
  • Monitor recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, applicant flow, etc.) and adjust strategies to meet hiring goals
  • Maintain consistent communication with field leaders on staffing status and priorities
  • Identify and activate new talent pipelines to support ongoing hiring demand
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
  • Represent Smashburger at job fairs and local hiring events

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of high-volume recruiting experience (restaurant, retail, or hourly workforce strongly preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple openings and hit aggressive hiring targets
  • Strong sense of urgency with a bias for action
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Resourceful problem-solver who can quickly adapt recruiting strategies
  • Experience with ATS platforms and sourcing tools

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred—or equivalent experience
